The 12th of Never....

 Sommige projecten vrágen er om om nog een keer gemaakt te worden. Dat had ik vorig jaar al bij dit ontwerp en helemaal toen hij 'weg' was. Ik had een prachtige witte zijde gevonden en ik wilde The 12th of Never 2x zo groot maken.

Some projects are asking for it: knit me again! So I did. I found some pretty white silk and made it twice as large as the original design.

 Het midden patroon was erg saai, of zen. Net wat je wilt. Er leek geen einde aan te komen. Zoals je op de bovenste foto kunt zien, is de rand met hartjes iets anders dan in de kleine shawl.

 The center pattern was quite boring, or Zen. As you like it. It seemed to take forever. As depicted in the photograph above you may notice the hearts are a bit different than in the smaller size.

 Zoals ik zei; eindeloos. Maar kijk wat mooi! Doorzichtig en zo luchtig.. Stel je voor dat je gaat trouwen en zó'n mooie shawl om hebt... Dan kan je dag niet meer stuk!

As I said; endless. But look how stunning it is! Airy and magical. Imagne you could be wearing this on your weddingday! You will be soooooo pretty..

Something new...

Ik probeer ZO hard om pas met iets nieuws te beginnen wanneer ik een ander project af heb.
De Malabrigo sjaal is zo lekker om te breien, eigenlijk zit ik al maanden te broeden op een nieuwe kantsjaal. Eerst zou ik de Forest Path Stole gaan maken, ben ik begonnen met een rode kantsjaal in Entrelac. Geen steek gebreid sinds de laatste foto.
Toen zij mij het boek te leen gaf, Victorian Lace Today, stonden er genoeg in. Ben begonnen vandaag met een proeflapje van de Veil. Kantgewicht wol van Storm op pen 1,5. Het wordt erg mooi, maarrrrrrrrrr niet soepel en een beetje stug. Ik heb daarvan nu 60 stk op de pen, amper 15 cm breed. Hier onder een fotovoorbeeld. Via haar blog ben ik terecht gekomen op een nieuwe KAL. De SpringshawlSurprice. Veel kant.
Net wat voor mij, geloof ik. Ik ga donkergroene kantgewicht wol gebruiken, en ik geloof dat er een proeflapje al vermeldt is. Hij begint op 1-1-08. Malabrigo Hollyhock used for the Myrtle leaf pattern; so far over 1 meter/ 25 ".
I'm trying SO hard to start something new only áfter I've finished another. Knitting the Malabrigo Scarf is a delight to knit but for months now I'm craving a new scarf. I wanted to start to knit the Forest Path Stole, but never came around to it. I distracted myself with knitting an Entrelac Scarf, but haven't knit on it since I took the picture.
When Angelic loaned me the book on Victorian Lace Today, there were plenty of patterns and today I started on a swatch of Veil. Lace weight wool from Storm in the Attic on size 1,5 (mm/EU). 60 st and hardly 6".
On the blog of Breimonster I came along a NEW knit along that could just be my new thing. A lot of lace on the Springshawl surprice. I'll use darkgreen laceweight from Storm inthe Attic to start on a swatch. The KAL will start 1-1-08. Links are in the dutch text.
